Style defines life............

Vinway

a welcome message...... ok: never wear what everyone tells you to, wear what ever offends conformists, go for vintage, steal from the runway, couturiers will forget about La Croix by next season, fashion is clothing with 'style' critiqued by conformists and there will never be another like Lee McQueen 1969-2010.

Coggles presents: Kelly Ewing

Victorian aristocracy to pre-Raphaelite romanticism

Kelly Ewing:

Relativley new on the fashion scene this girl is definately an upcoming designer to keep your eyes on! Kelly Ewing 'premature' in her design career has already gained affiliation from online e-tailer coggles and her own online boutique kellyewing.com. Inspirations for her creative designs include Victorian aristocracy to pre-Raphaelite romanticism which oozes out in her layering and bone detail structure in her collections!

'My favorite is this modernised nautical piece'

FAVORITES INCLUDE'

SHORT HITCH GREY AND WHITE DRESS

Get yours here: http://ow.ly/HRER RRP: £92.50

Chic corsage detailing and accurate tailoring in the silhouette creates a post modern, romantic piece, the merging of a nautical theme inspires a kooky edge yet keeping a feminine look of elegance, brought straight into the milenia by contempory twists and draping. The drapes in particular create a flow so graceful the dress can become one with the wearer enhancing passion within the look itself, many of which garments of our industrailised society lack. Pay particular attention to the detail in fabric choices. Vintage silks and rare cottons make these garments must haves for any fashionista.

Check out all her range @www.coggles.com

Don't forget to check on the Album for some more of her lusterous pieces!

Chic you all later indeed! x

CLAIRE LOVES: 'Lanvin Victorian chic'

ONE FOR THE FELLA'S:

Victorian men, seductive, sensual and gentlemanly to a tee! Looks like Lanvin have brought back the sexiness of the century, if you missed out on this fella's don't fret plenty of time to get your cravates and silk/lurex waistcoats for that immaculate winter look.

Hop Scotch and Hot Socks............

one thing that has always annoyed me about fashion in the winter is the ridiculous farce of covering up our legs, especially us 'taller girlies' who have the profound right to flaut our height. Don't get me wrong i've managed to discover some quirky tights over the years but I have to say this is the trend that should be around every year, it's quirky, chic and will look fab with boots, heels or flats! Wrap a chunky knit around and voila!! Your urbanite diva has come to life!

Fantastic, industrial feel to the heavy knots and platform sole, with plaid sleek finish on the leather!- ooh these chunky socks are perfectly accessible, I'd probably go for a clashing navy knit instead of the HOT grey just to create a burkish statement. (Claire loves indeed)

CLAIRE LOVES

ANKASA'S PARTY SEASON CHIC

P.A.R.T.Y season and I've just got to get this 60's mini sparkler ooooooooo I'd fly to NYC just to buy this off the A/W line at Ankasa!! SO JEALOUS

Melting in to nothing, this dress is a model silhouette that is inspiring on all you tall ladies out there with white, yes 'white' tights and pewter accessories. Embellishment that mirrors accessorizing next to royalty, its classy, demure and flattering in all the right places. What more could a girl want (Sigh)

Post your thoughts guys

JUSTIFYJUNK!

JUSTIFYJUNK!!

One of the things that makes ApparelJunk unique from just another fashion blog is JUSTIFY JUNK! Where every week I scrawl around in vintage shops for something that little bit special to buy and revise into a  21st century must have! I'll be challenging one reader every week to have a vintage style off with me! The challenge every week (Should you chose to accept it) is to put together one vintage inspired look, that will simply rock the socks off the fashion timid!!! However the rules!!

RULES:

To keep the orgional character of the garment but put a personal spin on it, making it commercially appealing to all you guys out there!

No more than a £20 spend on the outfit- Vintage and Oxfam use your imagination!

X3 Photos only (Front/Back/Side)

Can use any form of alteration, styling must be on a person- not a mannequin!! ,(make up and hair- not to be judge critically, were judging the clothes)

Submission by 6pm night before JustifyJunk goes live.

And the JUDGES for this I hear you ask will be YOU!!! I want to know what you guys think, is it fashionable? Would you buy it? I'm going to put together a look with the finished piece and I want your input. this is your chance to get involved with ApparelJunk and show the fashion world what you've got!!

The first round of JusticeJunk will be a simple style  off between myself and work partner in crime FifFi Ferguson so check back here on Monday for JustifyJunk going live!!

LET THE BATTLE FOR VINTAGE VICTORY COMMENCE!!

Sonia Rykiel for H&M

Move over Jimmy Choo, pack up the heel's and bags and make room for Eclectic/Pop Art style that is Sonya Rykiel!

The latest collaboration to hit the high street is the feisty animated style that is Sonya Rykiel. Heres a little sneak peak at the ADDICT collection storming in to S/S10 with a February launch.

Expect, cutting edge silhoutettes, tailored pencil skirts, roping on shoes, typical Rykiel stripes and a gothic/gentil colour palette sure to be show stopper. Key look for me fish netting and nautical pinks!! Very dirty rock chic!

The last time Rykiel came to H&M we saw a subdued response, where pieces focused more on runway rehashes, however I think we can expect a Fashionista response for round 2! Brava .................

Ooh i can hardly wait!

Let me know what you think guys,

Claire Loves.......Homage!!

Im totally swooning over Homage! Chunky accessories are the way forward for A/W09,  Givenchy are all over the catwalk with statement shoulders and lusterous chic! Gold over done is almost industrious, love it!

Wang's interpretation of power dressing in pewter has me in awe.......... Modernist twist on a simple shift makes creates almost a edgy ballooning at the wasit! Keep watching out for this, Personally would add the Burberry boyfriend fit parka to the Maxi fit of Philip Lim, Subtle Urbanite or what.

Check in on Claire Love's tomorrow for insight into upcoming designer Stacey Igel for some 80's Glam Rock for S/S10.......................
